PHNOM PENH, Cambodia (Oct. 7, 2025) — Roosevelt Skerrit, prime minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, will make his first official visit to Cambodia on Oct. 9, the Cambodian government announced Tuesday.

Skerrit is scheduled to meet with senior Cambodian officials, including Senate President and acting head of state Hun Sen, and Prime Minister Hun Manet.

The visit marks the first high-level engagement between the two countries and is expected to focus on strengthening diplomatic ties and expanding cooperation across multiple sectors.

Skerrit and Hun Manet will hold bilateral talks at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh, where they are expected to discuss ways to enhance collaboration and deepen people-to-people relations.

Following the meeting, both sides are expected to witness the signing of a memorandum of understanding establishing bilateral consultations between the foreign ministries of Cambodia and Dominica.

Officials said the visit will help reinforce growing ties between the two nations, promoting friendship, solidarity and practical cooperation.
