Leaders Extend Direct Support to Vulnerable Families in Kratie, Reinforcing No-One-Left-Behind Approach
KRATIE, Mar. 29, 2026 (KPT) — Cambodian leaders reaffirmed their pledge to inclusive social protection on Saturday, extending direct aid to vulnerable families in Kratie province in line with a “no one left behind” policy, officials said.
The outreach, held alongside River Festival activities, brought donations and personal engagement to 50 underprivileged households across five communes, including elderly citizens and families facing hardship.

Tourism Minister Hout Hak presided over the event, organized jointly by the Ministry of Tourism, the Inter-Ministerial Committee for the River Festival, and the Kratie Provincial Administration.
Hak stressed that top leadership has consistently prioritized citizens’ welfare, particularly vulnerable groups, through sustained support in livelihoods, health and security. “In all circumstances, our leaders have never abandoned the people or left any Cambodian citizen to face hardship alone,” he said.
Officials said the initiative reflects broader government efforts to strengthen social solidarity and ensure development benefits reach all segments of society.
Beyond its humanitarian impact, the activity underscored Cambodia’s cultural values of compassion and community care, while promoting the tourism sector during the River Festival.
