PHNOM PENH, March 31, 2026 (KPT) — South Korea has pledged to boost investment and tourism flows to Cambodia, highlighting the Kingdom’s peace, political stability and steady development, officials said Monday.

Tourism Minister Hout Hak met Joo Bong Park, Chairman of the Incheon Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), and a delegation of executives from leading Korean companies during their mission to explore opportunities in Cambodia.

The delegation praised Cambodia’s economic and tourism potential and expressed appreciation for the government’s efforts to ensure security and stability. Hak welcomed the interest, stressing the Royal Government’s commitment to eliminating online scam related crimes by April 2026 to safeguard the investment climate.

Both sides discussed measures to enhance tourist flows, including improved direct flight connectivity, joint promotional campaigns, tourism events in both countries and new travel packages. Officials said the initiatives aim to attract more Korean visitors and investors in 2026 and 2027, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations.

Park reaffirmed ICCI’s commitment to encouraging Incheon based businesses to explore Cambodia’s market. Established in 1885, ICCI has supported Cambodia since its membership in 2011, promoting trade, investment and business to business linkages across more than 28 countries.
