Cambodia Courts Korean Investors at Incheon Roadshow
INCHEON, South Korea, June 17, 2026 (KPT) — Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol urged South Korean businesses to expand their presence in Cambodia, highlighting investor‑friendly reforms, competitive incentives and resilient economic fundamentals at the Incheon‑Cambodia Investment Roadshow on Tuesday.
The high‑level promotion event was jointly organized by the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) and the Incheon Chamber of Commerce and Industry as part of Phnom Penh’s push to attract new investment from the Republic of Korea.

Chanthol, who also serves as First Vice Chairman of the CDC, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to creating a business‑friendly environment and providing comprehensive support for foreign investors. He pointed to Cambodia’s new Law on Investment, which offers tax benefits, guarantees, macroeconomic stability and legal protections. “Cambodia is ready to welcome and facilitate Korean investors in every possible way,” he told participants.
The forum drew senior Cambodian officials, ICCI President Park Joo‑bong, Ambassador Khuon PhonRattanak, representatives of KOCHAM and the Cambodian private sector. Business leaders shared success stories, while CDC Deputy Secretary General Lim Visal outlined the Kingdom’s investment outlook and incentives.
The strong turnout reflected growing interest among Korean companies in Cambodia’s expanding economy, with opportunities in manufacturing, technology, logistics and infrastructure. The roadshow underscored the strengthening economic partnership between the two countries and is expected to pave the way for new projects.
