PHNOM PENH, Mar. 12, 2026 (KPT) — Cambodia and the United States convened their fourth Public-Private Sector Dialogue on Wednesday, reaffirming efforts to strengthen economic cooperation and address challenges faced by American investors in the Kingdom.

The meeting was co-chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol, First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), and Bridgette L. Walker, Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Phnom Penh.

Also present were Keo Rottanak, Minister of Mines and Energy and Third Vice Chairman of the CDC, alongside representatives from government ministries, the American Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia, the US‑ASEAN Business Council, and U.S. private sector investors.

Officials said the dialogue provides a platform for American companies to raise business concerns and explore solutions with the Cambodian government, underscoring Phnom Penh’s commitment to improving the investment climate and deepening economic ties with Washington.

In his opening remarks, Chanthol stressed that the forum reflects a shared determination to strengthen cooperation between the government and private sector, in line with the principle of “Think Together, Act Together, Take Responsibility Together.” He highlighted recent approvals of new investment projects, rising bilateral trade volumes, and ongoing efforts toward trade arrangements with the United States.

Walker welcomed the opportunity to co-chair the meeting, noting that the dialogue helps address investor concerns while fostering a more competitive and transparent business environment.

U.S. investors expressed optimism about the government’s responsiveness and constructive engagement, saying the discussions reinforced confidence in Cambodia as a destination for American investment.
