Hattha Bank Outlines Long-Term Plans in Cambodia
PHNOM PENH, Mar. 4, 2026 (KPT) – Hattha Bank has reaffirmed its commitment to regulatory compliance, sustainable management and transparent governance as it pursues long-term growth in Cambodia, officials said Tuesday.

The bank reported steady progress in diversifying operations and strengthening branch services, positioning itself to play a larger role in supporting Cambodia’s economic development.
Kenichi Yamato, shareholder representative and head of a senior Hattha Bank delegation, briefed National Bank of Cambodia Governor Dr. Chea Serey on operational updates, challenges and future priorities during a meeting in Phnom Penh.
Yamato said the bank’s strategy focuses on widening services while maintaining prudent oversight, underscoring its pledge to deliver safe and sustainable financial products.

Governor Chea Serey welcomed the plans and offered recommendations, encouraging Hattha Bank to continue reinforcing its management structure. She highlighted the importance of maintaining a robust branch network and sufficient human resources to support operations as the institution modernises its technology systems.
Hattha Bank reiterated its stance on providing financial services that are transparent and resilient, aligning its growth with Cambodia’s broader economic ambitions.
