Cambodia Warns Traders Over Unauthorized Use of National Symbols on Products
PHNOM PENH, 13 February 2026 (KPT) — Cambodia’s consumer protection authority (CCF) has issued a public warning to traders and importers to immediately cease selling products bearing unauthorized national symbols, cautioning that violators face strict legal penalties.
In a notice released Friday, the Consumer Protection, Competition and Fraud Repression Directorate-General (CCF), under the Ministry of Commerce, said recent market inspections and public complaints uncovered goods displaying trademarks or logos imitating Cambodia’s national emblem and royal insignia.

The agency stressed that unauthorized use of national symbols contravenes existing laws and regulations and may result in severe sanctions and fines. Retailers and distributors have been instructed to halt sales and storage of such products and cooperate with authorities to trace their sources of production, importation, and distribution.
Importers were likewise ordered to stop importing and distributing items featuring the unauthorized symbols and to work with CCF officials to follow legal procedures.
Consumers have been advised not to purchase products displaying imitation or unauthorized national symbols and to report violations via hotline 1266.
The CCF emphasized that the measure aims to uphold the dignity of Cambodia’s national symbols, safeguard consumers, and ensure fair competition in the marketplace.
