PHNOM PENH, Cambodia (Dec. 24, 2025) — Cambodia’s garment, footwear and travel-goods exports surpassed $14.2 billion in the first 11 months of 2025, underscoring the resilience of the country’s manufacturing sector despite global trade uncertainties.

Data from the General Department of Customs and Excise showed robust growth across key categories. Garment exports rose 17 percent year-on-year to $10.45 billion, footwear exports climbed 26 percent to $1.5 billion, and travel goods increased nearly 4 percent to $1.2 billion.

Kang Monika, deputy secretary-general of the Textile, Apparel, Footwear and Travel Goods Association in Cambodia, said the industry remains stable despite mounting external pressures. He noted that recent U.S. tariff announcements have not disrupted production or exports.

“The sector remains on track and continues to grow, even under external challenges,” Kang said.

Socio-economic researcher Chay Tech said Cambodia’s export base is diversifying, with rising shipments of bicycles, electrical components and other light industrial products. He attributed the momentum to growing foreign investment and favorable trade arrangements, including zero-percent tariff access to the United Kingdom for textiles and electrical components.

“Investment continues to rise, and export performance is strengthening due to preferential tariff schemes. We expect growth to continue into the coming year,” Tech said.
