PHNOM PENH, Cambodia (Oct.28, 2025) — The European Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia (EuroCham) hosted a press conference Monday to preview the EuroCham Healthcare Forum & Innovation Exhibition 2025, outlining strategic themes and upcoming policy proposals aimed at strengthening digital health governance.

Martin Brisson, executive director of EuroCham Cambodia, opened the event by reaffirming the chamber’s mission to promote responsible private sector growth and ethical business practices. He highlighted the role of EuroCham’s Healthcare Committee, established in 2015, in advancing pharmaceutical integrity, regulatory compliance, and more recently, digital health innovation and data protection.

“The Healthcare Forum & Innovation Exhibition 2025 marks a milestone in our ongoing advocacy journey,” Brisson said. “It is not simply a technology fair, but a national platform for collaboration, bringing together policymakers, innovators, investors, and healthcare professionals to co-create a resilient, modern health system for Cambodia.”

Brisson also announced the upcoming release of EuroCham’s 2025 White Paper on Digital Health Governance, which will offer recommendations for building secure, interoperable, and innovation-ready systems.

Dr. Elias Engelking, co-chair of the Healthcare Committee, emphasized Cambodia’s transition from aid dependency to investment-led growth. He proposed the creation of a National Digital Health Coordination Committee, a Cambodia Health Industry and Technology Alliance, and shared digital infrastructure to unify governance and drive innovation.

Ms. Samnangvathana Sor, co-chair representing healthcare practitioners, previewed legal insights from the forthcoming white paper.
