PHNOM PENH, Cambodia (Sept.25, 2025) — The Cambodia Rice Federation announced Thursday it will lead a delegation of 13 rice exporters to exhibit at ANUGA 2025, one of the world’s largest international food industry trade fairs, held in Cologne, Germany from Oct. 4 to 8.

Supported by the Royal Government of Cambodia, including the Ministry of Commerce, Khmer Enterprise under the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation, and the Agricultural and Rural Development Bank, the initiative aims to promote Cambodian premium rice to global buyers and diversify export markets.

The federation will host a 96-square-meter pavilion at Koelnmesse Exhibition Center, marking its second appearance at ANUGA following its debut in 2023. The pavilion will feature a 3D model display of Cambodian rice and serve as a platform for business networking and policy dialogue.

Participating companies include Golden Rice (Cambodia), Amru Rice, Indochina Rice Mill, Kampong Thom Rice Mill, and others. The effort aligns with Cambodia’s national strategy to expand market access, enhance food safety standards, and promote market-oriented cultivation.

From January to August 2025, Cambodia exported more than 420,000 metric tons of milled rice to over 50 countries, generating over $300 million in revenue. China remained the top buyer, followed by France, the Netherlands, and Malaysia. Fragrant rice accounted for nearly 70 percent of total exports, reinforcing Cambodia’s reputation for premium quality in global markets.

Established in 1919, ANUGA has grown into a leading venue for food and beverage industry leaders to shape global trade and policy. Cambodia’s presence underscores its ambition to elevate its rice sector on the world stage.
