Cambodia Calls for Stronger Investment Facilitation at Ministerial Event
YAOUNDÉ, Mar. 26, 2026 (KPT) — Cambodia has urged greater efforts to strengthen investment facilitation and create a more predictable, transparent and efficient environment, speaking at a multi-stakeholder ministerial event on mobilizing investment.
Commerce Minister Cham Nimul joined counterparts from WTO members and partner organizations at the meeting hosted by the Republic of Korea. The event brought together donor and beneficiary countries, international agencies, and development banks to discuss scaling up investment facilitation.

During a high level panel on the Investment Facilitation for Development Agreement (IFDA), Cham Nimul highlighted the role of foreign direct investment in Cambodia’s economic growth over the past two decades. She also pointed to challenges faced by least developed countries in attracting global capital flows.
Cambodia’s intervention reflects its broader push to support re globalization and strengthen reforms aimed at mobilizing investment for resilient and inclusive development.
