PHNOM PENH, April 13, 2026 (KPT) – Cambodia has received two international cruise ships in less than a week ahead of the Khmer New Year holiday, underscoring the country’s growing appeal as a safe and attractive tourism destination, the Ministry of Tourism said Monday.
The Bermuda-flagged Piano Land docked at Sihanoukville Autonomous Port on April 12, carrying 996 tourists from 11 countries and 501 crew members from 13 nationalities, according to the Preah Sihanouk provincial tourism department.

The vessel is 260.97 meters long, 32.20 meters wide, with a draft of 8.25 meters. Authorities provided passengers with information on local attractions and tourism potential.
Two days earlier, the Norwegian cruise ship Viking Venus arrived at the same port with 61 tourists from 15 nationalities and 470 crew members from 42 nationalities. Measuring 228.30 meters in length and 28.80 meters in width, with a draft of 6.65 meters, the ship’s passengers also received briefings on the province’s highlights.
The ministry said the arrivals reflect growing international confidence in Cambodia as a welcoming and culturally rich destination, particularly during major holiday periods such as Khmer New Year, celebrated from April 14–16.
