CDC Reviews $490 Million in New Investments Spanning Industry, Agriculture and Clean Energy
PHNOM PENH, April 21, 2026 (KPT) — The Development of Cambodia (CDC) is advancing nearly $490 million in new investment proposals across manufacturing, agriculture and renewable energy, officials said Tuesday, underscoring efforts to diversify the economy and strengthen sustainable growth.
The projects were reviewed at the latest “One Stop Service” meeting of the Cambodian Investment Board under the CDC, chaired by Secretary General Chea Vuthy with participation from ministries and local authorities.

Eight projects were discussed, including seven new applications and one expansion, with the potential to create about 2,000 jobs. Industrial proposals include household electrical appliance assembly, plastic based consumer goods, yarn production and garment expansion.
Agricultural projects feature cassava processing and livestock breeding, aimed at boosting value added production. Renewable energy plans include a 150 megawatt wind farm and a 350 megawatt solar plant, highlighting Cambodia’s growing focus on climate aligned investment.
The proposed ventures span Phnom Penh and provinces including Takeo, Kampong Speu, Pursat, Kampong Cham, Kampong Thom and Mondulkiri.
