GENEVA, April 23, 2026 (KPT) — The Enhanced Integrated Framework (EIF) has reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with Cambodia to strengthen trade capacity, support economic integration and advance sustainable development objectives, officials said Wednesday.
Cambodia’s ambassador to the WTO, Suon Prasith, met with EIF Executive Director Aissatou Diallo in Geneva to discuss cooperation. Prasith highlighted Cambodia’s effective use of Aid for Trade support under EIF Phases I and II and expressed strong interest in the implementation of Phase III, launched on the margins of the WTO Ministerial Conference in Yaoundé.

He stressed Cambodia’s continued need to address trade related challenges and build institutional and human capacity. Diallo welcomed the engagement and reaffirmed EIF’s commitment to providing technical and financial support to Cambodia, underscoring efforts to help the country fully integrate into the multilateral trading system.
