Cambodia Urges Businesses to Join Global Food Expos in China, India
PHNOM PENH, May 5, 2026 (KPT) — Cambodia is encouraging local businesses to take part in major international food and seafood exhibitions in China and India to expand export opportunities and strengthen global trade links, officials said Monday.
The Ministry of Commerce said traders, producers and investors are invited to join SIAL China 2026 in Shanghai from May 18–20 and the Seafood Expo Bharat 2026 in Chennai from July 1–3.

SIAL China, one of the world’s largest food and beverage fairs, is expected to draw around 5,000 exhibitors from 75 countries and some 170,000 visitors, offering Cambodian firms a platform to showcase products, track market trends and build partnerships.
Seafood Expo Bharat will feature more than 300 booths and about 5,000 delegates, with business matching programs and site visits to seafood processing facilities and aquaculture farms. Indian organizers have proposed support for selected Cambodian participants, including airfare, accommodation and local travel for seafood importers.
Officials said participation will help Cambodian businesses access new markets, boost competitiveness and promote the country’s food and agricultural products internationally. The ministry urged interested companies to coordinate with relevant departments for registration.
