Cambodia Says Monitoring Middle East Conflict’s Impact on Fuel Prices

PHNOM PENH, March 10, 2026 (KPT) – Cambodia is closely watching the fallout from the war in the Middle East, particularly its effect on domestic fuel prices, government spokesman Pen Bona said Tuesday.
Speaking at a daily press briefing, Bona said the government has ordered measures to ensure stable supply and fair pricing nationwide.
The Ministry of Commerce has instructed fuel distributors and service stations to display prices publicly, guarantee quality and quantity, and report any stock reductions or temporary closures in advance.
He added that priority will be given to essential services, including emergency vehicles, fire trucks, public operations, and farmers.
Inspections by consumer protection and competition officials, along with ministries and local authorities, will continue to enforce compliance and prevent price exploitation.
