In Siem Reap, Mushikiwabo met with families living in temporary shelters at Thormak Raingsei Pagoda and visited the Paul Dubrule Tourism School, supported by La Francophonie, which trains young Cambodians in hospitality and culinary professions with an emphasis on sustainable tourism.
Officials said youth employability and skills development remain priorities for the organization.
In Phnom Penh, the Secretary General toured venues designated for the summit, the 47th Ministerial Conference of La Francophonie, and side events including the Francophonie Village and FrancoTech.
Her visit highlighted Cambodia’s readiness to host an inclusive, high-profile international gathering, while showcasing efforts to promote youth development, sustainable tourism and cultural diplomacy.
