PHNOM PENH, Feb. 11, 2026 (KPT) — Cambodian authorities have detained more than 800 people in a major crackdown on online scam networks in Preah Sihanouk province, police said Tuesday.

A joint task force arrested 805 suspects of seven nationalities during inspections at the Xinli Casino building in Preah Sihanouk City on Feb. 10, according to the provincial police commissariat.

Those detained include Chinese, South Korean, Japanese, American, Filipino, Pakistani, Indian and Cambodian nationals.

Police said they seized about 650 computers and 1,000 mobile phones during the operation. Legal proceedings are continuing.

In a related move, Cambodian authorities deported hundreds of foreign nationals linked to online fraud.

The General Department of Immigration said 319 Chinese nationals were flown back to China on Feb. 9 on special flights from Techo International Airport, in coordination with the Chinese embassy.

Officials said the measures form part of the government’s broader campaign against technology-based crimes, including online scams,

and aim to dismantle criminal networks while identifying and assisting victims trafficked or deceived into working in such operations.
