PM Hun Manet and Vietnamese Deputy PM Agree to Deepen Strategic Cooperation

PHNOM PENH, Cambodia (Nov. 28, 2025) — Cambodia and Vietnam have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen their long-standing partnership, with both sides pledging to intensify cooperation across key sectors and transform border provinces into “zones of peace, friendship and prosperity.”

Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet made the pledge during talks with Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son at the Peace Palace, where the two leaders welcomed steady progress in Cambodia–Vietnam relations.

They cited increased high-level exchanges and deeper cooperation in trade, defense and security, education, health, culture, tourism and cross-border connectivity.
Manet extended condolences to Vietnam over recent flood-related losses and urged ministries and border authorities to expand collaboration for the benefit of both peoples.

Bui praised Cambodia’s recent achievements and voiced confidence in continued progress under Samdech Thipadei’s leadership.

Both sides agreed to maintain close coordination and advance bilateral cooperation to support long-term stability and development in both nations.
