Cambodia Agrees to Thai Request to Postpone Border Talks
PHNOM PENH, Cambodia (Oct.15,2025) — A scheduled meeting between Cambodian and Thai military officials to address regional border issues has been postponed at Thailand’s request, Cambodia’s Ministry of National Defence said Tuesday.

The Cambodia–Thailand Regional Border Committee (RBC) meeting, originally set for Oct. 15–17 between Cambodia’s 4th Military Region and Thailand’s 2nd Army Area, will instead be replaced by a meeting of the RBC secretariat on Oct. 17, the ministry said in a statement.
“The Cambodian 4th Military Region will continue to coordinate with the Thai side to organize the RBC meeting as expeditiously as possible,” said Lt. Gen. Maly Socheata, spokeswoman for the Ministry of National Defence.
She added that both sides remain committed to fully implementing the ceasefire agreement, enhancing practical cooperation, and supporting a swift return to peace and stability along the border.
No new date has been announced for the rescheduled RBC meeting.
