Cambodia, Dominica sign MoU to launch bilateral consultations
PHNOM PENH, Cambodia (Oct. 9, 2025) — Cambodia and the Commonwealth of Dominica have signed a memorandum of understanding to establish bilateral consultations between their foreign ministries, marking a step forward in strengthening diplomatic relations.

The signing ceremony at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh was presided over by Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet and Dominica Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit, who is making his first official visit to Cambodia.
Earlier in the day, the two leaders held talks aimed at deepening diplomatic ties and exploring opportunities for expanded cooperation across multiple sectors.
Skerrit arrived in Cambodia on Oct. 8, marking the first high-level engagement between the two nations. During his visit, he is also scheduled to meet with senior Cambodian officials, including Senate President and acting head of state Samdech Techo Hun Sen.
Officials said the visit is expected to promote friendship, solidarity and practical cooperation, with both countries seeking to build a stronger foundation for long-term diplomatic and economic collaboration.
The memorandum is intended to facilitate regular dialogue and closer coordination on bilateral and international issues of mutual interest.
