Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam launch joint tour package to boost ‘Three Countries’ campaign
PHNOM PENH, July 14, 2026 (KPT) – Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam have agreed to roll out a joint tour package and coordinated action plan to accelerate their “Three Countries, One Destination” campaign, aiming to attract more international visitors to mainland Southeast Asia, officials said Tuesday.
The agreement was reached at a trilateral meeting on July 9 in Singapore, held on the sidelines of the 64th ASEAN National Tourism Organizations Meeting. Cambodia was represented by Dr. Chuk Chumno, Laos by Ms. Phonemaly Inthaphome, and Vietnam by Thi Hoa Nguyen.

The three sides reviewed progress under the initiative and endorsed priority measures to strengthen cooperation. A key outcome was the launch of a nine‑day Joint Package Tour, offering three days each in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. The itinerary will showcase flagship attractions in all three countries, targeting long‑haul travelers seeking multi‑destination experiences.
To support the campaign, the officials adopted a Joint Action Plan that includes producing a promotional video, organizing tourism and cultural events, strengthening business‑to‑business networking, conducting regular familiarization trips for stakeholders, and improving cross‑border travel facilitation.
They also agreed to continue identifying practical, high‑impact initiatives to deliver quick results and sustain momentum.
Progress will be presented to the tourism ministers of Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam during their first trilateral meeting, scheduled alongside the 20th Ho Chi Minh City International Travel Expo from August 24 to 29.
