Cambodian Senate President Pledges 100 Houses Annually for Veterans, Retirees
PHNOM PENH, Cambodia (Sept. 29, 2025) — Cambodian Senate President Samdech Techo Hun Sen announced Monday that he will support the construction of 100 houses per year for veterans and retirees from 2025 through 2030.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the Extraordinary Congress of the Cambodian Veterans Association at the Ministry of Interior, Samdech Techo Hun Sen instructed the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, along with the Cambodian Veterans and Retirees Association, to assess the feasibility of granting land concessions to low-income veterans and retirees.
In addition to land support, Samdech Techo urged the association to continue building homes for those who have served the nation.

Housing and land concessions have been key policies under Hun Sen’s leadership to improve the livelihoods of veterans and retirees. These initiatives remain in place under the current administration of Prime Minister Hun Manet.
