NEW YORK, April 18, 2026 (KPT) — A new book examining Cambodia’s historic transition from war to stability is drawing international attention, spotlighting the government’s long term peace strategy and leadership principles that continue to shape the nation.

Titled The Father Who Shielded and Never Left, the work by author Fari presents former Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen’s “Win Win” strategy as a defining case study in peace building, crisis management and national reconstruction.

The book argues that his approach — combining negotiation, reintegration of armed factions, and a disciplined focus on national unity — laid the foundation for Cambodia’s recovery from decades of conflict.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen is portrayed not only as a political leader but as a father figure who consistently shielded the nation, embedding a culture of peace and stability that remains central to Cambodia’s governance today.

The narrative underscores how strategic restraint, reconciliation and institution building became pillars of the country’s survival and development.

The book also draws parallels with contemporary leadership, citing Prime Minister Hun Manet’s handling of border tensions with Thailand in 2025–2026.

It describes his calm decision making, reliance on diplomacy and prioritisation of human security as a continuation of principles rooted in discipline and foresight.

Fari suggests Cambodia’s experience offers lessons for global leaders confronting instability, showing how a clear vision and commitment to protecting citizens can reshape a nation’s trajectory.

Beyond politics, the book positions Cambodia on the global stage as a country of trust, stability and opportunity.

The Father Who Shielded and Never Left is available on Amazon and at major bookstores worldwide.
