PHNOM PENH, Cambodia (Sept.19, 2025) — Maj. Gen. Timothy Donnellan, commanding general of the Idaho National Guard, arrived in Cambodia this week for an official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral military ties.

During his Sept. 15–16 visit, Donnellan toured the Training School for Multinational Peacekeeping Forces, where he met with Lt. Gen. Hout Kimsan, deputy director of the National Center for Peacekeeping Forces and director of the Peacekeeping Operations School.

Donnellan also observed the first Subject Matter Expert Exchange between the Idaho National Guard and the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces since 2019, marking a key step in renewing defense cooperation between the two sides.

In addition to his engagements at the training center, Donnellan held talks with senior Cambodian defense officials and stakeholders. The discussions reaffirmed U.S. support for Cambodia’s peacekeeping efforts and advanced plans to reestablish the State Partnership Program between the Idaho National Guard and the RCAF.
