BEIJING, China (Sept.18, 2025) — Cambodia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense, Gen. Tea Seiha, is attending the 12th Beijing Xiangshan Forum this week, leading a high-level military delegation at the invitation of Chinese Defense Minister Admiral Dong Jun.

Held from Sept. 17–19 at the Beijing International Convention Center, the forum has brought together defense ministers, military chiefs, and senior officials from across Asia, Europe, Africa, and ASEAN to discuss pressing global and regional security challenges.

This year’s theme, “Common Security, Lasting Peace,” focuses on strategic trust, multilateral defense cooperation, and conflict prevention.

Gen. Seiha is scheduled to speak during the fourth plenary session, “Building Regional Peace Through Dialogue and Consultation,” where he is expected to highlight Cambodia’s commitment to peaceful dispute resolution, respect for sovereignty, and ASEAN centrality in maintaining regional stability.

In addition to his keynote address, Seiha is holding bilateral meetings with defense leaders, including Admiral Dong Jun, to strengthen Cambodia-China defense ties, which both sides describe as an “ironclad friendship.”

He is also expected to meet with counterparts from Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Singapore, and engage with other dialogue partners to explore expanded regional defense cooperation.

The Xiangshan Forum has emerged as China’s leading platform for defense diplomacy, offering space for dialogue on Asia-Pacific security dynamics.
