Foreign embassies send well wishes to Cambodia’s King

PHNOM PENH, April 13, 2026 (KPT) – Several foreign embassies in Cambodia have expressed support and well wishes for King Norodom Sihamoni as he continues medical treatment in Beijing.
The embassies of Japan, Canada and France joined other missions in wishing the monarch a full recovery and long life.
Japan’s embassy said its “thoughts are with the Royal Family and the people of Cambodia,” adding hopes that Khmer New Year would bring peace and prosperity.
Canada’s mission voiced similar sentiments, while France conveyed its “sincerest wishes” for the King’s swift recovery and longevity.
A royal message issued Friday confirmed King Sihamoni will remain in Beijing for one to two months following doctors’ advice after being diagnosed with prostate cancer.
