Samdech Hun Sen Receives Philippine President Marcos Jr. in Phnom Penh
PHNOM PENH, Cambodia (Sept. 8, 2025) — Samdech Hun Sen, acting head of state of the Kingdom of Cambodia and president of the Senate, received Philippine President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. at the Peace Palace on Monday morning.

President Marcos Jr. and his spouse, Louise Araneta-Marcos, arrived in Phnom Penh on Sept. 7 for a three-day state visit to Cambodia, scheduled from Sept. 7 to 9, at the invitation of His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni.
Their arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport was warmly welcomed by Cambodia’s minister of tourism and other senior officials of the Royal Government of Cambodia.
During the visit, Hun Sen hosted an official welcome ceremony for Marcos Jr. and led the Cambodia-Philippines summit meeting on the morning of Sept. 8.
President Marcos Jr. is also scheduled to hold a working meeting with Prime Minister Hun Manet, which will include the signing of several bilateral agreements.
