Cambodia launches public private dialogue platform to attract high value investment
PHNOM PENH, April 2, 2026 (KPT) – The first high level public private dialogue platform was launched in Phnom Penh on Thursday, with officials saying the initiative aims to boost investor confidence and draw high value industries to Cambodia.
The platform was introduced during the inaugural Public Private Sector Breakfast Briefing, presided over by Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol, who also serves as first vice chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC).

The forum gathered senior government officials, diplomats and leaders from major international business associations, including representatives from Japan, the European Union, the United States, China and South Korea, alongside AmCham, EuroCham, KOCHAM and JBAC.
Chanthol said the government views the private sector as a core development partner and urged businesses to share challenges openly. He outlined the CDC’s 2026 action plan, which includes global investment roadshows to promote Cambodia’s updated Law on Investment, improved infrastructure and opportunities in high value industries.
Diplomatic and business participants welcomed the initiative, praising Cambodia’s stability and proactive approach. The platform as a milestone in building a transparent, competitive and inclusive investment environment.
