SINGAPORE, April 9, 2026 (KPT) – Cambodia is positioning itself as a strategic destination for Singaporean businesses seeking to expand in the region, Commerce Minister Cham Nimul said Thursday.

Speaking at a seminar titled “Cambodia: Business Outlook 2026 and Unlocking Opportunities”, Nimul highlighted the country’s open trade policies, investment attraction, trade facilitation, export promotion, and modernization of the business environment as key drivers for growth.

The event, organized by the Singapore Business Federation in collaboration with Aquarii BD Cambodia, brought together Cambodian business representatives, Singaporean private sector leaders, investors, entrepreneurs, and partners to explore opportunities in logistics, agro-industry, food processing, the digital economy, and high value-added industries.

Nimul said the seminar advanced trade diplomacy, strengthened business networking, and promoted exports, while creating opportunities for Cambodian firms to showcase production capabilities and expand access to Singaporean and international markets.

She added that the forum demonstrated Cambodia’s commitment to building long-term business partnerships, increasing the value of Cambodian products, and deepening bilateral economic cooperation with Singapore.

The minister also invited Singaporean investors and entrepreneurs to learn more about Cambodia and seize opportunities in investment, trade, and partnership-building across complementary sectors.
