WASHINGTON, U.S. (Nov.07, 2025) — Cambodia is seeking to transform its healthcare infrastructure through high-tech investment, following a strategic meeting with Siemens Healthineers, a global leader in medical technology.

Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol led a Cambodian delegation in Washington on Nov. 5 to meet with Siemens Healthineers Executive Vice President Tisha Botman. The delegation included senior officials from the Council for the Development of Cambodia, the Ministries of Tourism and Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation, the Cambodian Ambassador to the United States and Mexico, and representatives from the Cambodia Oknha Association.

The meeting focused on encouraging Siemens Healthineers to supply, install, and maintain advanced medical equipment in Cambodia, in line with the government’s healthcare development strategy. Chanthol highlighted Cambodia’s strong economic growth and commitment to improving healthcare services, and urged Siemens to support capacity building for radiologists and biomedical engineers.

He also promoted Cambodia as a promising destination for supply chain diversification, citing favorable investment conditions and strategic incentives.

Siemens Healthineers expressed interest in Cambodia’s reform agenda and healthcare vision, pledging to explore future cooperation and the provision of next-generation medical technologies.
