Cambodia and JBAC Review Support Measures to Strengthen Investment Climate
PHNOM PENH, April 27, 2026 (KPT) — Cambodia and the Japanese Business Association in Cambodia (JBAC) have reviewed support measures to improve the operational efficiency of companies invested in the country, officials said Monday.
Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol, First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, and JBAC President Akira Yoshimoto co‑chaired the consultative meeting, which gathered feedback from Japanese firms on their business operations in Cambodia.

The session was attended by representatives from ministries and institutions alongside delegates from Japanese investment companies. Chanthol expressed gratitude to Japanese investors for their continued confidence and expansion of capital in Cambodia.
Yoshimoto, in turn, praised the government’s openness to private sector input and its consistent support.
JBAC noted that the attention given by the Prime Minister through various mechanisms, together with active engagement from ministries, has reinforced optimism and confidence among Japanese investors regarding their long‑term presence in Cambodia.
