US$95 Million Investment Pipeline in Manufacturing and Agro‑Industry Projects Under Review
PHNOM PENH, July 23, 2026 (KPT) – A pipeline of nine proposed investment projects worth about US$95 million is under review by the Cambodian Investment Board (CIB), spanning manufacturing, agro‑industry and mining as the country seeks to diversify its industrial base and attract value‑added investment, officials said Wednesday.
The projects were discussed at the 7th One‑Stop Service Meeting of 2026, convened by the CIB of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) to examine applications for Qualified Investment Project registration. The meeting was chaired by CIB Secretary General Chea Vuthy, with representatives from ministries, agencies and provincial administrations participating.

The proposed investments are expected to generate around 3,500 jobs and cover a wide range of industries aimed at strengthening manufacturing capacity and agro‑processing.
The pipeline includes two agro‑industrial projects—a rubber processing plant and a cassava factory—and seven industrial projects. These comprise factories producing forklifts, electrical lighting equipment, noodles and noodle ingredients, plastic accessories for garments, footwear, bags, furniture and pet products, as well as a salt processing plant and a gold mining project with a mineral processing facility.
The projects are planned for Phnom Penh and the provinces of Takeo, Kampong Speu, Tboung Khmum and Kratie, reflecting continued investment beyond the capital into emerging industrial and resource hubs.
The One‑Stop Service Meeting is part of the CDC’s streamlined approval mechanism, bringing together all relevant agencies to review applications through a single coordinated process, helping accelerate approvals and improve the ease of doing business for investors.
