The partnership aims to align reforms with Cambodia’s 2030 and 2050 development visions, focusing on STEM education, improved learning outcomes and modernized school governance.

Priorities include raising student performance in international assessments such as PISA, reducing dropout rates, and reforming teacher training. The ministry is also scaling up New Generation Schools, expanding school feeding programs using local produce, and introducing model school standards linked to labor market needs.

ADB reaffirmed support through institutional strengthening and investment, framing education as central to Cambodia’s economic future, digital competitiveness and inclusive growth.
