Tourism Ministry Outlines Activities for River Festival 2026 in Kratie
PHNOM PENH, Mar. 17, 2026 (KPT) — Cambodia has unveiled a program of cultural and tourism activities for the 10th River Festival, set to take place in Kratie from March 27–29, the Ministry of Tourism said Tuesday.
The official opening ceremony will be held on March 28 under the theme “Green Rivers, Cultural Heritage, and Rich Natural Resources”, in collaboration with the Kratie Provincial Administration, ministries, institutions and the private sector.

The festival aims to showcase the tourism potential of riverine provinces, attract national and international visitors, and promote local products while supporting community based development.
Planned activities include alms giving, Kratie’s traditional kralan (bamboo sticky rice) roasting ceremony, artistic performances, exhibitions, tourism sports events and a floating lantern ceremony.
Government officials, representatives of ministries and institutions, foreign embassies, tourism associations, development partners, national and international organizations, content creators and visitors from home and abroad are expected to attend.
