Cambodia touts logistics hub ambitions at EuroCham meet
PHNOM PENH, April 1, 2026 (KPT) – Cambodia is positioning itself as an emerging regional trade and logistics hub, officials said Wednesday at a conference co‑hosted by the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) and the European Chamber of Commerce (EuroCham).
The event, themed “Delivering Logistics‑Led Growth,” brought together government leaders, private sector representatives and regional counterparts from Vietnam, Myanmar, Singapore, Malaysia and Laos, alongside the EU‑ASEAN Business Council.

CDC president Sun Chanthol and EuroCham chairman Tassilo Brinzer co‑chaired the meeting, which highlighted reforms and infrastructure upgrades aimed at boosting efficiency and competitiveness.
A showcase of policy outcomes for the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port underscored collaboration between the government and private sector in strengthening logistics services. Officials pointed to ongoing modernization of transport networks, customs facilitation and express logistics reforms as key drivers of growth.
Participants stressed the need for continued dialogue and cross‑border cooperation to integrate supply chains and enhance Cambodia’s regional visibility.
The conference is expected to bolster investor confidence and reinforce Cambodia’s ambition to become a forward‑looking logistics hub in Southeast Asia.
