Agricultural Fertilizer Plant Officially Launched in Kampong Speu
PHNOM PENH, April 22, 2026 (KPT) — A new fertilizer factory operated by Vireak Buntham Group was officially inaugurated Wednesday in Kampong Speu province after six months of trial production and distribution, company officials said.

Oknha Sour Vireak, the group’s Managing director, told KPT English the firm has invested about $4 million in the plant, which covers 15 hectares in Trapeang Trayung commune, Phnom Sruoch district.
The facility has tested three types of fertilizer — organic, lime‑based and liquid — using locally sourced raw materials. It currently has capacity to produce 250 tonnes of organic fertilizer and 600 tonnes of chemical fertilizer per day, with potential to scale organic output to 1,000 tonnes depending on demand.

Beyond fertilizers, Vireak Buntham Group is also building a feed mill along National Road 51, about 25 kilometers from Phnom Penh, to further support Cambodia’s agricultural sector.
The new plant is expected to boost domestic supply, reduce reliance on imports and strengthen productivity for farmers nationwide.
