Landau said there was considerable scope for the United States and Cambodia to deepen cooperation across a range of sectors.

He highlighted the recently concluded Open Skies Agreement, calling it a milestone that could strengthen ties and promote greater connectivity and economic engagement.

The US official also expressed appreciation for Cambodia’s support for American businesses, noting that US investment had contributed to the country’s economic development.

He pointed to Cambodia’s tourism potential, citing its cultural heritage and internationally recognised attractions as key strengths.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet reaffirmed his government’s commitment to expanding cooperation with Washington, outlining measures to support private‑sector growth and improve the business environment.

He highlighted infrastructure projects including the expansion of the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port and construction of the Funan Techo Canal, which he said would boost connectivity and competitiveness.

The two sides also discussed joint efforts to combat transnational crime, including cyber‑enabled fraud and online scam operations.

Samdech Thipadei said Cambodia would continue working with international partners to dismantle criminal networks, a move welcomed by Landau.
