KAMPONG SPEU, Feb 18, 2026 (KPT) – A Senate delegation has reaffirmed Cambodia’s commitment to labor welfare and sustainable industrial growth during a visit to a garment factory in Kampong Speu province, officials said Wednesday.

The delegation from Commission 8, led by Men Sam An, Chairwoman of the Senate Commission on Health, Social Affairs, Veterans, Youth Rehabilitation, Labor, Vocational Training and Women’s Affairs, toured Aroma Success Garment in Samraong Tong District.

Senators met with company representatives to review production processes, technical standards, and occupational health and safety measures. Discussions focused on ensuring compliance with labor regulations while maintaining productivity and competitiveness in Cambodia’s key manufacturing sector.

Men Sam An commended the company’s role in supporting the garment and textile industry, describing it as a vital pillar of the national economy that provides jobs to thousands of workers and contributes significantly to growth.

Officials said the Senate would continue engaging with industry stakeholders to strengthen labor protections and promote sustainable development in the sector.
