Cambodia’s Tire Exports Top $1.2 Billion in 2025, Up 58 Percent
By Leng Deth
PHNOM PENH, Cambodia (Dec. 25, 2025) — Cambodia earned more than $1.2 billion from tire exports in the first 11 months of 2025, a 57.88 percent increase compared with the same period last year, as domestic demand for natural rubber surged, according to the Ministry of Commerce.

Khun Kakada, deputy director general of the General Department of Rubber, said demand for locally produced rubber rose by more than 100 percent this year. He noted that the supply chain — from harvesting and processing to business operations — continues to function normally across plantations and companies.

Men Sopheak, president of the Rubber Development Association, said the presence of tire factories in Cambodia has boosted local rubber consumption. “Before, we exported abroad. Now, tire manufacturers are producing here using natural rubber. They buy domestic rubber as part of their production, and we save on transport and other costs,” he said.
In 2024, Cambodia earned more than $874 million from tire exports, a jump of nearly 490 percent compared with 2023, the ministry said.
