PHNOM PENH, June 24, 2026 (KPT) – South Korea’s BNK Financial Group has reaffirmed its long-term commitment to Cambodia, voicing confidence in the Kingdom’s economic prospects, investment climate, and expanding financial sector, officials said Tuesday.
A delegation led by Bin Daein, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BNK Financial Group, conveyed the pledge during talks with Dr. Chea Serey, Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC).

Bin praised Cambodia’s rapid development and highlighted the country’s favorable investment and tourism environment following his recent visit. He also reported on the progress of BNKC, the group’s microfinance subsidiary in Cambodia, noting its continued growth.
The BNK chief executive said the group’s expanding presence would help raise awareness among South Korean investors about opportunities in Cambodia. He added that BNK plans to organize a future business delegation from South Korea to explore investment and partnership prospects.
Dr. Serey welcomed the commitment, thanking BNK Financial Group for its positive assessment of Cambodia’s development. She underscored the government’s and the NBC’s efforts to foster a conducive environment for investors and support sustainable economic growth.
The governor also briefed the delegation on advances in Cambodia’s digital payment ecosystem, stressing its role in boosting efficiency, security, and financial inclusion. She encouraged BNK to further expand its investment footprint and deepen economic cooperation between the two countries.
