CPP delegation visits Hanoi to congratulate Vietnam’s Communist Party leadership

PHNOM PENH, Jan 27, 2026 (KPT) – A senior delegation from Cambodia’s ruling Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) met Vietnam’s top leadership in Hanoi on Monday to convey congratulations following the conclusion of the Communist Party of Vietnam’s 14th National Congress.
The delegation was led by Samdech Men Sam An, CPP vice president and representative of party president Hun Sen, who paid a courtesy call on To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
To Lam expressed gratitude to King Norodom Sihamoni and Hun Sen for their congratulatory messages, describing the CPP visit as a reflection of the long-standing friendship and solidarity between the two parties and their countries.
He said the 14th Party Congress marked a new phase of development for Vietnam, guided by the slogan “Solidarity, Democracy, Discipline, Progress, and Development,” and underscored the country’s determination to pursue peace, independence and prosperity.
Men Sam An congratulated To Lam on his re-election as General Secretary and praised Vietnam’s achievements under party leadership, citing reforms, economic growth and improvements in living standards.
