PHNOM PENH, April 3, 2026 (KPT) – Cambodia is accelerating governance reforms to build stronger, more transparent public institutions and improve public service delivery, officials said Thursday.

Deputy Prime Minister Hun Many, who also serves as Minister of Civil Service, told a forum on “Enhancing Governance in Public Administration” that the government is advancing deeper, coordinated reforms across ministries, aligned with core governance priorities.

The forum gathered officials, development partners, civil society, academics and private sector representatives to review progress and challenges in reform.

The agenda focuses on strengthening institutions, boosting human resource capacity, promoting integrity and transparency, and improving the effectiveness of laws and the justice system.

“These reforms are essential to ensure effective public service delivery and to build greater trust among citizens,” Hun Many said.

Officials noted Cambodia has made progress in improving the quality of public institutions, combating corruption and strengthening the business environment.

They said the forum also aims to provide accurate information to stakeholders and encourage open dialogue to support evidence-based decision-making.
