PHNOM PENH, April 3, 2026 (KPT) – Cambodia has highlighted active diplomacy and strengthened border vigilance as part of efforts to safeguard territorial integrity and maintain regional stability, government officials said Friday.

Government spokesperson Pen Bona outlined recent diplomatic engagements, describing the protection of the nation and its people as the government’s “highest priority.”

He confirmed Prime Minister Hun Manet will lead a high-level delegation to France from April 6 to 9 at the invitation of President Emmanuel Macron.

During the visit, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet will attend the One Health Summit in Lyon and Paris, a major international forum under France’s G7 presidency, bringing together global leaders, scientists and organizations to address challenges linking human, animal and environmental health.

He is also expected to hold bilateral talks with French officials and other world leaders to strengthen cooperation across multiple sectors.

At home, Cambodia has focused on regional relations and border security. Acting Head of State Samdech Hun Sen met Singapore’s new ambassador on April 2, reaffirming strong bilateral ties and addressing tensions along the Cambodia–Thailand frontier.

Defence Minister Tea Seiha honored ASEAN Observer Team members monitoring ceasefire efforts, while welcoming the Philippines as incoming mission leader.

Separately, the Cambodian Human Rights Committee met UN representatives to discuss cooperation and raise concerns over alleged border violations.
