BEIJING, June 26, 2026 (KPT) — Cambodian Senate President Samdech Techo Hun Sen has urged China Communications Construction Company Ltd. (CCCC) to continue supporting Cambodia’s infrastructure development, with a focus on flagship transport projects.
Samdech Techo made the remarks during a meeting Friday in Beijing with CCCC Chairman Song Hailiang, according to Senate spokesperson Chea Thyrith.
Song said he was pleased to meet Samdech Techo Hun Sen again, describing him as a leader who has consistently backed the company’s operations in Cambodia.
He briefed Samdech Techo on CCCC’s global business and its activities in the Kingdom, noting the company has established 23 subsidiaries locally and that more than 70 percent of its workforce are Cambodian nationals.
According to Song, CCCC has completed or undertaken around 70 infrastructure projects in Cambodia over the past two decades, contributing to the country’s transport and development network.
He reaffirmed the company’s commitment to working with the government, led by Prime Minister Hun Manet, on future projects and pledged support for Cambodia’s transition toward greener development.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen praised CCCC’s achievements and urged the firm to maintain its focus on major ongoing projects, including the Funan Techo Canal, the Phnom Penh–Bavet Expressway, National Road 50C linking Kampong Chhnang and Kampong Thom provinces, and other initiatives.
He said their successful completion would strengthen Cambodia’s long‑term growth and connectivity.
Song concluded by expressing satisfaction with progress and reaffirmed CCCC’s commitment to supporting Cambodia’s future infrastructure development.
