Cambodia eyes stronger Middle East tourism, air links through Dubai aviation firm
PHNOM PENH, June 30, 2026 (KPT) – Cambodia is seeking to boost tourism cooperation and air connectivity with the Middle East after Dubai-based Hadid International Services (HADID) expressed interest in promoting the Kingdom’s tourism potential and expanding aviation services, officials said Tuesday.
Tourism Minister Huot Hak met a HADID delegation led by Regional Director Aida Ismail, who introduced the company as a leading aviation services provider with more than 40 years of global experience.

Ismail said HADID was keen to showcase Cambodia through its partner network, promotional events and media platforms, while expanding services such as jet charter and medical evacuation operations.
The firm also proposed publishing books on Cambodia’s history, culture and attractions in up to 50 languages to reach wider audiences. Hak welcomed the initiative, encouraging HADID to study the feasibility of direct flights or private aviation services to Phnom Penh and Siem Reap to support high-end tourism and investment.
He also suggested organizing familiarization trips for Middle Eastern operators and promoting Cambodia through HADID’s communication channels, including in-flight entertainment.
The meeting coincided with the 32nd anniversary of Cambodia–UAE diplomatic ties. Cambodia received 5.6 million international visitors in 2025, including 1,200 from the Middle East in the first five months of 2026, underscoring the region’s potential as an emerging market.
