PHNOM PENH / SINGAPORE, March 10, 2026 (KPT) – Cambodia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn begins a two-day official visit to Singapore on March 10 at the invitation of Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan.

During the visit, Sokhonn is scheduled to pay a courtesy call on Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and hold talks with Balakrishnan on strengthening bilateral relations and exploring new areas of cooperation.

Officials said discussions will also address regional and international issues, reflecting the two countries’ shared commitment to peace, stability and sustainable prosperity in Southeast Asia.

“This official visit reaffirms the enduring friendship between Cambodia and Singapore and highlights both countries’ forward-looking approach to elevating bilateral ties,” the Cambodian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The trip comes amid expanding cooperation in trade, investment and diplomacy. Early last week, both sides pledged to raise bilateral trade to US$10 billion in the coming years as Singapore’s ambassador concluded her mission in Phnom Penh.

Former Prime Minister Hun Sen received Ambassador Teo Lay Cheng at the Senate’s Samdech Vibol Samaki Palace, conferring on her the Grand Cross of the Royal Order of Sahametrei in recognition of her five-year tenure.
