Cambodia Marks 21st Anniversary of King Sihamoni’s Ascension to the Throne

PHNOM PENH, Cambodia (Oct.29, 2025) — Cambodia is celebrating the 21st anniversary of King Norodom Sihamoni’s ascension to the throne, a milestone marked by nationwide reverence, prayers and messages of congratulations from the country’s leadership.

Prime Minister Hun Manet, on behalf of his spouse, the Royal Government, civil servants and the armed forces, extended his warmest felicitations to the King, praising his dedication to national unity, stability and the well-being of the Cambodian people.

“On this sacred and unparalleled occasion, we humbly offer our highest respects and joyfully pray for blessings, prosperity, happiness and all forms of well-being to His Majesty,” Samdech Thipadei Manet said. “We fervently pray for His Majesty’s wisdom, clarity of vision, robust health, long life free from illness and continuous strength to fulfill his supreme royal duties.”

Samdech Thipadei Manet highlighted the King’s leadership and generosity across humanitarian assistance, social welfare, cultural preservation, diplomacy, military affairs, education, healthcare, environmental protection and mine clearance. These contributions, he said, have strengthened Cambodia’s development, peace and international standing.

“We invoke divine blessings and protection from all sacred guardians, deities and spirits, especially those of past Cambodian kings, including the revered spirit of His Majesty King Norodom Sihanouk,” he added.
