Cambodia, Indonesia Highlight Trade and Investment Gains as Ambassador Concludes Mission
PHNOM PENH, Feb 3, 2026 (KPT) – Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol, First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, met outgoing Indonesian Ambassador Santo Darmosumarto on Tuesday, marking the conclusion of his diplomatic mission.
Chanthol praised the ambassador’s efforts to strengthen friendship and expand cooperation, particularly in trade and investment.
Both sides highlighted achievements during his tenure, including enhanced business connectivity and increased trade volume through investor exchanges.

These exchanges helped Indonesian companies already operating in Cambodia and encouraged new investment interest. Ambassador Santo expressed gratitude to the Cambodian government and the CDC for their support, saying he would continue to promote Cambodia’s investment opportunities to Indonesian businesses even after his mandate.
Chanthol extended best wishes for the ambassador’s future endeavors and voiced confidence that Cambodia–Indonesia ties would continue to grow for mutual benefit.
