PHNOM PENH, July 14, 2026 (KPT) – Cambodia’s National Assembly will resume its sixth session of the seventh legislature on Tuesday to consider five agenda items, including a confidence vote on the appointment of a new member of the Royal Government, the assembly said.

The decision was approved by the Standing Committee during a meeting chaired by National Assembly President Samdech Khuon Sudary on July 10 at the Assembly Palace. Lawmakers are expected to vote on a motion of confidence for the appointment of one additional cabinet member.

The session will also debate and vote on four draft laws to ratify international and regional agreements. These include Cambodia’s accession to the Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment and its Aircraft Protocol, which governs cross‑border recognition of rights in aircraft financing.

In addition, the assembly will consider three ASEAN agreements covering mutual recognition arrangements. These are the ASEAN Framework Agreement on Mutual Recognition Arrangements, the ASEAN Sectoral Mutual Recognition Arrangement for Building and Construction Materials, and the ASEAN Mutual Recognition Arrangement on Type Approval for Automotive Products.

Officials said the measures are intended to strengthen Cambodia’s integration into regional and global frameworks, facilitate trade and investment, and ensure regulatory alignment with international standards.

The National Assembly confirmed the session is scheduled to open on the morning of July 14, with lawmakers expected to complete deliberations and votes on the agenda items during the day.
